WHICH TEST & TAG SERVICE DO YOU NEED?
There is two types of Electrical testing available by ARTS Technical Solutions. The first is to Australian and New Zealand Standard 3760 - this is the testing for all electrical equipment within the workplace to ensure the equipment is electrically safe. The other type of testing to Australian and New Zealand Standard 3551 relates to testing required for all electrical equipment that comes in contact with patients, it is essential that the correct testing is conducted to the correct standard. Below are some examples of 3551 tests conducted.
BEDS
Beds used in Medical Practices including physiotherapists need to be performance tested and tagged to
AS/NZS 3551- YES
AS/NZS 3760 - NO
SCALES
All scales need to have test weights applied at a low of 30 Kg and an upper limit of 150 kg - these must be certified weights
No electrical testing required
ECG Machines
ECG machines needs two tests. 1 being a simulated heart rate to ensure machine functioning in parameters and then tagged to

SPIROMETRY
Spirometry requires a volume test, using a 3000ml syringe and an electrical test
